We've teamed up with The Naturesave Trust to run an energy competition across UK state-funded primary and secondary schools with a prize pot of £500.

The environmental problem:
Schools are currently facing extremely high energy prices due to changing market conditions, yet there are a variety of changes that can be made to help lower energy consumption and/or make the energy used in schools greener (renewable).

How to enter:
To be in with a chance of winning £500, simply tell us how your school would spend this money to lower its energy consumption and/or to produce or use renewable energy. You may wish to focus on one area, or multiple areas, such as heating, hot water, lighting, technology and equipment (for example, solar power). This prize pot can be used to fund all or some of your actions. Remember to cover what you'd like to do, how you'll do it, where you'd make the changes (your school address), what your timescale is for these changes, how much energy or money you predict your school would save over 5 years, and how you'll get students involved (for example, carrying out an assembly or creating awareness posters).
