We are able to organise environmentally-themed volunteer sessions for corporate companies at school sites in Devon and Dorset. We also offer volunteering opportunities at a number of our community events including at our annual Children's Christmas Give and Take event.
Staff experience
Our staff lead has years of event management experience, an Enhanced DBS certificate, and a Higher National Diploma in Landscape Design and Construction from Capel Manor College, so regardless of your staff's experience or knowledge, volunteers can get stuck in to make a positive impact.
By volunteering with us, you'll be:
Directly supporting an award-winning environmental education organisation, and the state-funded schools and communities we serve.
Directly supporting biodiversity by helping to transform existing areas, or create new areas, which feed important pollinators including bees, and provide an essential habitat for wildlife (for gardening opportunities).
Helping local families to gain free, preloved toys, books, DVDS and clothing (our Give and Take events).
Providing excellent corporate social responsibility team building activities.
Promoting your business to our followers and supporters.
Event example
A recent session was with Westcotts Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, who transformed an overgrown area at All Saints CE Primary School in East Devon into a child-friendly sensory garden perfect for vital pollinating insects, including bees and butterflies, in just one morning.
They removed a huge quantity of weeds and self-seeded tree saplings, which were unsuitable for the area, replacing them with edible and medicinal plants including thyme, fennel, rosemary and chamomile. They also planted Spring flowering bulbs to increase essential nectar sources for important pollinators like early bumblebees. Great work, Westcotts!
What our event partners say
“Little Green Change is a fantastic local organisation with a very important mission, and we at Westcotts are delighted that we could get involved, and give back to our local community.”

“We are extremely grateful for the support from Little Green Change and Westcotts Chartered Accountants. Their hard work has transformed our Courtyard and our Forest School/Biodiversity area. Our pupils will be delighted - even more so when the flowers bloom in Spring and Summer.”

Headteacher at All Saints C of E Primary School, Axminster.
Support us
To help us cover our associated staff time and material costs, we ask corporate companies for a minimum donation of £50 per hour for each volunteer session we organise (e.g. £150 for a 3 hour session). Travel costs for locations beyond a 10 mile radius of Little Green Change's South-West office in Lyme Regis will be charged at 50p per mile in addition to this.
We rely on regular funding and donations to continue and expand the valuable environmental education and action services we offer free to state-funded schools and communities (we can't continue without this), so the financial help you're able to give is hugely appreciated and makes a big difference!

What the award judges say
"I read the entry and was so impressed by this non-profit social enterprise that educates children about the environment through talks, competitions, projects and so much more. Initiatives like this are so important - I would ask everyone to think if they could help this winner in some way by volunteering, donating or sponsoring, so they can continue offering, for no cost, these services to local state schools.“
